What kind of chicken cage should be used for raising chickens!

Because chickens in cages have more advantages, more and more cages are used at home and abroad. The materials for making chicken cages are mostly iron wire and steel, and some rural professional households can also use cork strips to make chicken cages. Commonly used cage types are as follows:

1. Chick cage

Commonly used chick cages have four layers and eight grids, 180 cm wide, 45 cm deep, and 165 cm high; they can raise 80 to 120 chicks aged 15 to 40 days. Each chicken cage is 87 cm wide, 45 cm deep and 24 cm high, and can accommodate about 15 chicks.

2. Breeding cage

It is generally used for 41-140-day-old chickens. The three-story structure has an overall width of 1.6 to 1.7 meters and a height of 1.7 to 1.8 meters. Each single cage is 80 cm long, 40 cm high, and 42 cm deep. The mesh at the bottom of the cage is 2 to 4 cm. The mesh on the top, side and back of the cage is 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm. The cage door is 14-15 cm wide, and each single cage can accommodate 7-15 adult chickens.

3. Square cage

This kind of cage is generally used when high-quality broiler breeders adopt natural mating methods. This kind of cage is a large metal cage with a length of 2 meters, a width of 1 meter, and a height of 0.7 meters. The bottom of the cage is inclined outwards and extends out of the cage. Form the egg trough. Several or dozens of them are assembled into a row, with feeding troughs and drinking pipes hung outside the cage, and nipple drinkers are used for drinking.

4. Stacked cages

The stacked type is formed by overlapping multiple layers of chicken cages, and there is a manure cleaning belt between each layer. When the cage is installed, every two cages are installed back to back, several or dozens of cages form a row, and there is an aisle between every two rows. Depending on the conditions of the equipment, multiple layers of cages can be stacked together, generally three layers are appropriate. This kind of layout occupies less land and raises a large number of chickens per unit area, which is very suitable for intensive chicken farming with a small area.

5. Ladder layer equipment

Ladder-type laying hen equipment means that chicken cages are installed in A-type. There are two types of manure removal: scraper manure removal and belt manure removal. It is a relatively early-used laying hen breeding equipment. Now the general small and medium-sized customers still use ladder-type laying hens. equipment.

6. Half-step chicken coop.

The arrangement of half-step chicken cages is roughly similar to that of the full ladder, but there is a partial gap between the upper and lower chicken cages. The overlapping part of the chicken cage is equipped with a manure-bearing plate, which is installed at a certain angle, and the manure can be cleared. Since its stocking density is 1/4 higher than that of the full ladder chicken cage, it has higher requirements for ventilation, cooling, and disinfection.

Cage laying hens are usually put into cages from 18 to 20 weeks of age, and are eliminated from the cages when they are raised to 72 weeks of age to complete a production year. Therefore, with good environmental conditions in the chicken house, there must be a chicken cage with a reasonable structure to enable the laying hens to exert their highest production efficiency.

The size of the laying hen cage must be able to meet its certain activity area, feeding position and height. At the same time, in order to make the laid eggs roll out of the cage in time, the bottom of the cage should have a certain inclination. According to the above requirements, the arrangement of laying hen cages must be composed of many small single cages. Each single cage has 2, 3 or 4-5 chickens.
